Ordered Zips for Minoru Sewalong – Check!
Ordered some nice new sewing books – Check!
Cut out and started sewing a new white shirt – Check!
*****
The Minoru Sew Along is coming up soon. I think I have the right fabric here, but I need to check how much I have. I ordered four different zippers from Zipperstop just in case!

After seeing so many great reviews of this book, I finally ordered it. It should be here in a week or two.

This book also caught my eye and I have seen some good reviews on some blogs (I forgot which ones) recently, so I added it to my cart and bought it too.

After finishing my jeans – it is still too hot to wear them – I cut out a new white shirt. I have been needing to make one for ages, but have not had time. I am on holidays from work, so now is a great time to sew. This pattern was drafted from a favourite store bought shirt that bit the dust last year. I have made it twice already. I am using some plain white stretch poplin. I am trying to use my stash up before I go buy new fabric. I am also trying very hard to finish a garment before I begin a new one.

Does anyone else production-line sew? Here are the darts and first seams pinned ready to go…

So far this evening, I have finished the fronts and collar. More tomorrow.
Hi yes in my very organised moments I production sew, usually if it is a simple pattern or one that I have made before. New patterns that have an interesting detail or technique I often follow step by step. Your shirt came up wonderfully.
